MathsBuddy Ltd is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data that we collect from you or that you provide to us will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
Information We Collect From You
There are two different methods for collecting information:
1 For access to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
2 To purchase MathsBuddy games and materials
1 Requirements for the VLE:
Only parents/carers of Key Stage 2 children or young people who attend the MathsBuddy classes in Newry can choose to have access to the VLE. This contains the 4 Numeracy Workout programmes which covers levels 3 - 5+ of the maths curriculum. In order to log on, parents/carers will have to provide a valid email address so that an appropriate start up link can be sent to them.
This email address is only kept on the Administration section of the www.mathsbuddy.co.uk website until the child/young person has stopped attending classes or has no further need of the programme. The email address is normally deleted within a day or two but max of 1 month from the student has stopped attending MathsBuddy classes. Other than the initial email sent to a parent or carer with the start up link, no further communication will be sent to them from or MathsBuddy Ltd.
2 To purchase MathsBuddy games and materials:
We will only obtain and process information that you have given to us in order for you to make a purchase of MathsBuddy games and resources through this website. This includes your name, address, delivery address (if different), mobile or fixed line number and a valid email address.
Use and Disclosure of Information
Data will only be kept for clear and legal purposes which mean that it is solely used to enable you to make a purchase off the website, for us to deliver it to your chosen address and to resolve issues, should any arise.
All information gathered is for the exclusive use of MathsBuddy, as described in this policy, and your information will never be passed on or sold to a third party.
